CMMI helps you develop your organizational capabilities by learning new behaviors that can help you improve performance, speed, quality and profitability.
CMMI models are used around the world to improve processes and performance in thousands of organizations in about 100 countries.
What an organization gets out of process deployment and CMMI appraisals is a reflection of what the organization puts into it. Organizations that focus on wining the CMMI certification alone, hardly find the real benefit of adopting the quality framework.
Appling CMM, with its focus on quality and process performance objectives, puts organizations and projects in a position to succeed.
Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) is a process improvement model for the software and system engineering development and services organizations.
CMMI models are developed by Carnegie Mellon University and required by many DOD and U.S. Government contracts, especially in the software development field.
CMMI Institute is part of Carnegie Innovations is established to manage CMMI services delivery across the world through licensed partners. CMMI institute partnership must be based on qualifying certified individuals

CMMI Models
The CMMI for Development (CMMI-DEV) model is used for process improvement in organizations that develop products. CMMI-DEV provides guidance to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of their product development work.
The CMMI for Services (CMMI-SVC) model provides guidance to organizations that establish, manage, and deliver services that meet the needs of customers and end users.
CMMI Representations
CMMI exists in two representations: continuous and staged.
The continuous representation is designed to allow the user to focus on the specific processes that are considered important for the organization’s immediate business objectives, or those to which the organization assigns a high degree of risks.
The staged representation is designed to provide a standard sequence of improvements, and can serve as a basis for comparing the maturity of different projects and organizations.
1- Gap Analysis process
We start with checking the customer’s overall process to map what the customer implements against the CMMI model scope, to identify possible gaps, then propose solutions for addressing those gaps.
2-CMMI Trainings
Any required trainings related to CMMI process areas are delivered upon the organization needs and improvements plan.
3- Consultancy and coaching implementation
Based on the gap analysis findings, TRI EXL team coaches the organization teams in their process improvement initiatives to reach their targeted level of the CMMI model scope
4- Spot checks
In early stages of improvement piloting, the lead appraiser conducts spot checks to examine the implementation approach on a sample to determine how much the new processes cover the CMMI model requirements
5- Pre appraisal
When the company has consistent implementation within their internal system; the Lead appraiser specifies the detailed organization scope to be investigated by the appraisal team. This should include a set of selected samples, which represents the organization unit domain and covers sampling critical factors.
When all the pre appraisal gaps are closed, the lead appraiser plans a formal appraisal (SCAMPI A) with the sponsor form the client’s side.
6-Formal Appraisal
The purpose of conducting this process, is to conduct a formal appraisal activities based on a CMMI model and SCAMPI A method to gain the official CMMI Maturity Level.
The formal appraisal method (SCAMPI) must be delivered by the lead appraiser to the appraisal team members (ATMs) before conducting the formal appraisal activities
The lead appraiser submits the appraisal data to CMMI institute for quality audit and approval.
CMMI institute publishes the appraisal results on https://sas.cmmiinstitute.com/pars/pars.aspx upon the company’s request
